One Day Excursion to Delphi
For those that love the Ancient Greek history and sacraments, there is no destination better than the Delphi Oracle, which is the most important oracle of Ancient Greece and the world as it was.
It was believed that Delphi was built in the middle of the Earth. This was in accordance to tradition, as it was said that Zeus let two eagles fly, one towards the East and the other towards the West and they met in Delphi.

The temple, which we will visit was dedicated to the god Apollo. We will also visit the archaeological museumwhich houses very important exhibits such as, the Chariot (one of the most characteristic sculptures in Ancient Greek art), the Sphinx of Naxos (a female face on the body of a lion with wings of a bird, which was sent around 560 B.C. from Naxos as an offering to Apollo), the Silver Bull (2.5 metres in length dating back to the 6th Century B.C) and many more remarkable exhibitions.

Following our visit to the archaeological site and the museum we will make our way towards the modern town of Delphi or Arachova, where we will enjoy a coffee or food. We will have the chance to walk around the traditional settlements and choose between a variety of souvenirs or local products to take with us.
We will then make our way back to Athens, full of images, presentations & stories from Ancient Greece. We hope that by the end of this tour, you would have gained a better knowledge of our country and its history whilst having enjoyed your day creating everlasting memories.
